Greensleeves to 'What Child Is This?': A Melody's Journey

I signed my 15-year-old up for this one-week course about the melody's journey and we both appreciated the clear explanation of how lyrics and audiences shifted. The single 55-minute session packed in a lot of information, which kept my teen engaged but made it hard to dive deeply into any one example. It would be nice to have an optional follow-up for students who want more detail. Overall a worthwhile, well-paced short class for older teens.

American Gothic Reimagined: Gordon Parks and Photography

The course is a great, concise introduction for teens (ages 13–17) to photography as a tool for social commentary. My child came away talking about the role images play in shaping public understanding after just one 55-minute session.

Greensleeves to 'What Child Is This?': A Melody's Journey

I liked how the class focused on how lyrics, purpose, and audiences changed over time and it sparked a great conversation with my 13-year-old. The 55-minute lesson was concise but engaging. Definitely a neat introduction to music history for teens.

American Gothic Reimagined: Gordon Parks and Photography

We signed up our 16-year-old for this short course and were pleasantly surprised by the depth covered in such a compact format. It explored Gordon Parks' life and gave a thoughtful analysis of American Gothic, showing how photography can expose injustice. The single 55-minute lesson was engaging and easy to fit into our schedule.
