Coffee Bean Ant Farm Craft

Great short craft class — our seven-year-old was proudly explaining the tunnel design and how the coffee beans represented ants. The one 55-minute lesson over one week was the perfect introduction to a creative science-themed activity and it kept them focused the whole time. Hands-on and a lovely finished project to display.

Coffee Bean Ant Farm Craft

The concept of a pretend ant farm using coffee beans was clever and my three-year-old did enjoy pressing beans onto the paper. However, with a single 55-minute lesson some of the glue work became frustrating for her and she needed help to finish. Overall useful but I wish the pacing had more built-in breaks for very young children.

Coffee Bean Ant Farm Craft

My six-year-old was fascinated by drawing the tunnels and placing coffee beans to represent ants. It was engaging and tactile without being too complicated, and the craft felt age-appropriate for kids up to seven. I would have preferred a few extra examples of tunnel designs to spark more ideas.

Craft: Paper Plate Crab

Such a fun, hands-on craft — my 4-year-old completed the Paper Plate Crab activity in the single 55-minute lesson and was so proud of the result. The cutting, gluing, and decorating kept them engaged, and I appreciated that the project practiced sequencing and fine motor skills. It was a perfect one-week, age-appropriate craft that didn’t feel too difficult.
