This novel study introduced classic literature in an engaging way and my child liked discussing The Secret Garden with peers. The once-weekly, 55-minute lessons were a manageable rhythm for our family.

There were some strong points: the focus on comprehension, character analysis, and thematic interpretation matched what we were hoping for and the six-week length kept things focused. My 10-year-old enjoyed the chapter discussions and close readings, but sometimes the pace felt uneven—some weeks seemed light and others rushed. With only one lesson per week it was hard to keep momentum without extra reading at home. Overall useful, but it required more parental follow-up than I expected.

The course guided my 11-year-old through character analysis and thematic interpretation in a way that felt age-appropriate. The chapter-by-chapter discussions and close readings helped build deeper comprehension. The 55-minute lesson length worked well for their attention span.

This one-week Spy Writing Workshop was a perfect fit for my 10-year-old—four 50-minute lessons a week that moved quickly through creating spy characters, designing codes and clues, and writing action-packed scenes. She was proud to present her final spy story and stayed engaged the whole time. Really well paced and a lot of fun.
