As a parent of a 14-year-old, I was impressed with the clear, step-by-step presentation in Pre-Algebra (Math-U-See): Lessons 1–15. The once-a-week 50-minute lessons over 15 weeks made the pacing manageable, and the focus on integer operations, exponents and roots, place value, solving linear-style equations, polynomials, and the Pythagorean theorem kept my child engaged and steadily more confident.

We enrolled our 14-year-old in Math-U-See Zeta (Lessons 1–16) to strengthen decimals, percents and conversions. The weekly 50-minute live classes combined with digital manipulatives and workbook assignments really helped make place value, multiplying decimals and basic geometry more concrete, and he stayed engaged over the 16-week session. My only minor note is that with just one lesson per week the pacing felt a bit slow for a student who already had some background—an optional faster track or extra practice would improve it for advanced learners.
