Really pleased with how the class covered the fundamentals: holding and tuning the guitar, identifying the six open strings, and forming basic open chords. The focus on first-position melodies and chord strumming meant my 14-year-old could play simple songs by the end of the course. Pacing and difficulty were appropriate for a beginner.

My daughter (age 12) stayed engaged after each 45-minute lesson and was excited to practice at home—she especially enjoyed learning how to read tablature.

The six-week structure with one 45-minute lesson per week fit our schedule perfectly, and the progression from posture and tuning through chords like C, F and A felt well paced. I noticed real improvement in his finger placement and confidence when strumming. The intro to standard notation and tablature also gave him a good foundation to keep practicing.

This was a great introduction to single-note melodies in first position and to reading basic guitar tablature. My son picked up Em, Am, G and D quickly and enjoyed the simple songs that reinforced each lesson. The balance between technical exercises and applied songs worked really well.
