Chemistry Part 1: Atomic Structure, Periodic Trends, and Bonds

Excellent introduction for teens interested in chemistry — the lessons cover everything from isotopes to ionic versus covalent bonds without being overwhelming. We appreciated the predictable schedule of two lessons per week.

Chemistry Part 1: Atomic Structure, Periodic Trends, and Bonds

As a parent I appreciated that this is Part 1 of a sequence and stays focused on fundamentals like subatomic particles, atomic mass, and bond types. The twice-weekly 45-minute lessons across eight weeks felt balanced, and the combination of direct teaching with group discussion kept concepts approachable. My 16-year-old said the periodic trends unit clarified things that had been confusing at school. Overall it's a well-structured introduction to high-school level chemistry.

Chemistry Part 1: Atomic Structure, Periodic Trends, and Bonds

Generally a solid introduction to high-school chemistry with good coverage of fission/fusion, half-life, and radiation. The material is challenging in a productive way, but my 11-year-old needed extra time on electron configuration. More in-class practice would have helped.
