Really well done—my child loved comparing myths to real marine species and digging into morphology and adaptations. The course was short but packed with interesting topics like fossilization and estimating giant shark sizes from teeth. Great way to get kids thinking scientifically about folklore.

Broad and fascinating material, though the single weekly 50-minute lesson and short duration made it feel rushed for us.

As a parent of a 15-year-old who loves marine life, I was impressed by how the course balanced oceanography fundamentals — seawater properties, currents, waves, and tides — with focused shark topics like physiological adaptations and anatomy. The virtual shark dissection made applying the scientific method feel hands-on, and the related project work reinforced what was taught in class. Discussions about human-shark interactions and shark science careers added valuable context. The pacing of one 60-minute lesson per week over eight weeks was manageable and let my child absorb the material. I would happily recommend this course to other teens interested in marine biology.

Good content overall, but some of the material felt a touch advanced for the younger end of the 8–12 range unless an adult stepped in to help.
