5th Grade Math — Quarter 1 Fundamentals

I appreciate that the syllabus includes key areas like place value, exponents, and shape attributes and that lessons were consistently twice a week for 40 minutes, but my 11-year-old found the material rushed. After eight weeks we didn't see the improvement I had hoped for, so it wasn't the right fit for us.

5th Grade Math — Quarter 1 Fundamentals

The course covers the right topics like multiplication strategies and primes, and my child liked the practice problems. However, the pace felt a bit fast during some lessons, so they struggled with parts of long division. Useful overall but we expected slightly more review time before the assessment.

5th Grade Math — Quarter 1 Fundamentals

The course is well-structured: direct instruction on place value, number sense, multiplication/division strategies (including long division), factors, primes, exponents, and 2D/3D shape attributes. We liked the twice-a-week format with 40-minute lessons — that schedule fit nicely around homework. The eight-week length was a good amount of time to cover the topics without dragging on. The end review and assessment helped us see what stuck and what needed a bit more practice. Overall it's a solid fundamentals course for a fifth grader.

5th Grade Math — Quarter 1 Fundamentals

Pacing felt right and the focus on fundamentals was helpful. My 9-year-old gained more confidence with long division and factors through the twice-weekly 40-minute lessons.
