Thorough and fun introduction to game programming for younger kids. The course sensibly focused on sprites, health systems, enemy logic, and turn-based mechanics in concise 45-minute lessons, five times in one week. After the course my child felt proud of the playable game they built.

We enrolled our 11-year-old in this two-week camp and it exceeded expectations. With four 55-minute classes each week they built several real apps, including a translator that used an API and text-to-speech, a drawing pad, and a stopwatch. The hands-on building, testing, and iterative improvement model culminated in a final project and showcase that really boosted their confidence.

My 8-year-old was thrilled to create a Pokémon-style game in Scratch and practiced programming concepts without realizing it; the lesson length and frequency worked well for us.
