We enrolled our 4-year-old in Math in Motion and it's been a hit — the 30-minute, once-a-week classes keep his attention with a teacher-read book, games, hands-on activities and movement. I appreciate the range of early math topics they cover (numbers and counting, shapes, measurement, patterns, symmetry, and even simple graphing and probability) across the year-long, 34-week course. It's a fun, low-pressure way for him to build confidence with math concepts.

The course uses songs, pictures and games which kept my 10-year-old engaged, and the repetition helped with basic vocabulary. However, after a few weeks he found the pace a bit slow and was ready for slightly more challenging sentences.
