Fantastic course for teens who enjoy both writing and art. The structure—one lesson per week over eight weeks—gave my child time to experiment with short fictional pieces and to explore fluid painting techniques alongside their writing. The ten-word prompts were a great way to lower the intimidation factor of starting a story and to encourage creativity. Overall the pacing and content felt age-appropriate for 11–18 year olds and my teenager came away more confident in trying new, concise storytelling styles.

I liked that the class combined flash fiction with visual art; the ten-word prompts sparked my 16-year-old's imagination. The weekly 55-minute lessons fit into our schedule nicely and kept momentum throughout the course.

This eight-week course was exactly what our 12-year-old needed — short ten-word prompts kept the writing focused and the visual art elements, especially the fluid painting techniques, made it fun.

We enrolled our 14-year-old in Flash Fiction: Ten-Word Stories with Visual Art and appreciated the creative prompt structure and the way writing tied into fluid painting techniques. However, the 55-minute weekly lesson felt a bit rushed for my child to fully develop and refine their pieces. Overall it was a useful introduction to short-form fiction but I wish there was slightly more time or an extra session during the eight-week course.
