High School Physics: Mechanics and Foundations for STEM

This High School Physics course is a great fit for teens interested in STEM. My 17-year-old appreciated the focus on core mechanics concepts and the emphasis on scientific reasoning and problem-solving. The course span of 14 weeks with a single 50-minute lesson each week made it manageable alongside school workload, and it helped maintain steady progress without overwhelming their schedule. Overall a thoughtful introduction to the fundamentals of motion, forces, energy, and momentum.

Reading Comprehension: Fiction & Nonfiction Strategies

As a parent of an 8-year-old, I appreciated how the lessons focused on multiple strategies like inference, main idea, and supporting answers with evidence. Each session is 40 minutes which is a comfortable length for concentration, and the pacing over the eight weeks allowed concepts to sink in without overwhelming her. She was engaged by both fiction and nonfiction passages and started to use new vocabulary in context when talking about what she read.

High School Physics: Mechanics and Foundations for STEM

We enrolled because we wanted a solid foundation in mechanics and the topics covered—motion, forces and energy—are all relevant. That said, the once-a-week format can feel brief when tackling tougher problem-solving skills. Families should expect to add extra practice outside of the scheduled lessons.

Reading Comprehension: Fiction & Nonfiction Strategies

The mix of fiction and nonfiction texts kept things interesting for our 10-year-old. The eight-week length and steady pace (one lesson per week) felt manageable while reinforcing vocabulary in context and using evidence to support answers.
