Finding Your Way Around the Keys
Learn finger numbers, find C and the black-key groups, and play the Jingle Bells chorus.

Four private winter break piano lessons where beginners learn to play classic holiday songs such as Jingle Bells and Deck the Halls. Each lesson builds note reading, rhythm and hand coordination, ending with a mini holiday recital for family.

Paid once.
There is something magical about playing a holiday song on the piano for your family. In these four private lessons over winter break, beginners learn exactly that, with a teacher who tailors every step to their age and pace.
Lesson one starts at the very beginning: sitting well, finger numbers and finding your way around the keys, ending with the Jingle Bells chorus. Lesson two introduces simple note reading and rhythms through the melody of Deck the Halls. In lesson three learners add a simple left-hand part to We Wish You a Merry Christmas and practice playing hands together. The last lesson polishes two songs, adds Auld Lang Syne for the New Year and ends with a short recital for family on camera.
Because lessons are 1-on-1, the teacher can slow down, repeat or stretch each learner. Younger children use color-coded and large-print music, while older beginners read standard notation. Families who celebrate other winter traditions can swap in a winter song of their choice.
Learners finish with two or three holiday songs they can play confidently, basic note-reading and rhythm skills, and a short practice routine to keep going after the break.
Each 45-minute lesson includes a warm-up, new material demonstrated on the teacher's keyboard, guided practice with feedback and a short practice plan for the days between lessons. Lessons are scheduled 1-on-1, twice a week for two weeks.
