Spanish Story Time for Little Learners

Story time in Spanish builds listening skills and vocabulary naturally. Each week the teacher reads an engaging picture book in Spanish with expressive voices, big pictures and lots of pointing.

Kids repeat key words, sing a related song and play a short game to practise the story's vocabulary. By the end of six weeks they understand many simple Spanish words and phrases and can answer simple questions about a story.

How classes work

Each week starts with a short live demo of the new idea, followed by guided practice while the teacher checks in with every learner. Classes end with a small challenge to try before next time.

What we'll cover

• Week 1: Los Animales – Listen to a farm animal story and practise animal names and sounds.

• Week 2: Los Colores – Hear a color story and go on a Spanish color hunt.

• Week 3: La Comida – Enjoy a hungry-animal food story and name favorite foods.

• Week 4: La Familia – Read a family story and make simple finger puppets.

• Week 5: El Tiempo – Listen to a weather story and play a dress-for-the-weather game.

• Week 6: Mi Cuento – Make a simple picture page with Spanish words and share it with the class.

No experience needed. Learners need a device with a camera and microphone for live classes.
