Private Korean Lessons for Beginners

Private lessons are the fastest way to start Korean. The teacher begins with Hangul, the Korean alphabet, which most learners can read within a few weeks, and quickly moves on to useful words and phrases the learner actually wants to use.

Each short lesson combines reading, speaking and vocabulary practice with plenty of personal feedback on pronunciation. Lessons are paced to the learner, and by the end they can read Hangul and hold simple everyday conversations.

How classes work

Every session is private and paced to the learner. The teacher starts by checking where the learner is, adjusts the plan to their goals and gives detailed feedback in every class.

What we'll cover

• Session 1: Hangul Vowels – Learn and write the basic Korean vowels and practise their sounds.

• Session 2: Hangul Consonants – Learn the consonants and combine them with vowels to build syllables.

• Session 3: Reading Practice – Read real Korean words, names and K-pop song titles aloud.

• Session 4: Greetings and Introductions – Use polite greetings and give a short self-introduction.

• Session 5: Numbers and Time – Learn native and Sino-Korean numbers for counting and telling time.

• Session 6: Food and Shopping – Practise vocabulary and phrases for ordering food and buying things.

• Session 7: Daily Routine – Describe a typical day using simple present-tense verbs.

• Session 8: Conversation Review – Combine everything in a guided conversation and plan next steps.

No experience needed. Learners need a device with a camera and microphone for live classes.
